Airbus Helicopters is the world’s largest helicopter manufacturer and the company’s site at Oxford Airport is Britain’s civil helicopter hub.

AHUK offers considerable experience in helicopter sales, bespoke completions, maintenance and spares support.  Its in-house engineering capabilities include design, customisation, installation, flight-testing and certification, as well as technical support, maintenance, training and the supply of spares for civil and military applications.

AHUK is the MoD’s chosen provider of helicopters and maintenance for its Defence Helicopter Flying school (referred to as MFTS) located in RAF Shawbury (Shropshire) and RAF Valley (Anglesey).

Description/Overall purpose of the Job:

We are seeking a Quality Auditor to support the Quality Manager in maintaining the Company Quality Management System (QMS). The successful candidate will also support the Safety Management System (SMS) Manager in the management of risk assessments and the implementation of safety improvement projects. Tasks will also include maintenance of Company Approvals, Auditing to regulation and Hosting regulatory (CAA, MAA), approval body (BSi) and customer auditors.

The main responsibilities of the post holder will be:

·  Auditing to the Company Internal Audit plan, including visits to Line Stations and Vendors, (some overseas travel may be required).
·  Writing/amending Company documentation.
·  Inputting data to Quality Department Databases.
·  Root cause and trend analysis.
·  Management of Company document library on MS SharePoint.
·  Issuing engineering authorisations.
·  Carrying out internal investigations to maintenance errors (MEDA).
·  Carrying out CAA Mandatory Occurrence Report investigations.
·  Delivery of Quality and Safety related training.   

The post holder would ideally have the following Knowledge and Skills:

·  Experience of QMS in EASA Part 145 and Part M environments.
·  Experience in Design organisation procedures, preferably EASA Part 21 J.
·  Experience in Production organisation procedures, preferably EASA Part 21 G.
·  Experience with BSI QMS including ISO 9001 EN 9100, EN 9110, EN 9120.
·  Experience with BSI Environmental Management ISO 14001
·  Experience with BSI Health and Safety ISO 18001
·  Experienced in the use of MS Office applications.

We require the post holder to have the following Education, Qualifications or special training:

·  Audit training and qualifications.
·  Aviation engineering background preferred.

The post holder should have the following experience:

·     Working in aerospace environment with auditing experience.

Key performance indicators:

·  Audits completed to audit schedule.
·  Corrective/Preventative actions implemented to agreed timescales.

Other requirements:

·  Valid driving license and passport.
·  Able to be security cleared to at least BPSS.
·  Willing to travel including limited overseas duties.
·  Able to work with host departments to ensure that corrective and preventative actions are effective and implemented in a timely fashion.
·  Able to work under pressure to meet challenging timescales.
·  Able to work with autonomy to manage their own workload efficiently.
·  Able to work collectively to achieve organisational goals.
·  Positive attitude to innovation and change.
·  Able to work in diverse working environments with respect to others and valuing contributions from all.
·  Honesty and integrity.
·  Good general communication skills.
