Description of the job

A vacancy as an Operations Support Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Madrid. The successful applicant will join TASTO3
department.

TASTO mission is to design, develop, integrate and deliver on time, on cost and on quality the Training and Operations Support solutions (including course development, CBT, Operational documentation/support and conduct of training) required by Airbus Defence & Space to operate efficiently and safely their Airbus Defence & Space aircraft.
To achieve TASTO mission, TASTO3 is the Airbus Defence & Space Derivatives Programme unit and is in charge of TASTO mission for Airbus Defence & Space Derivatives A/Cs. To achieve its Mission, TASTO3 is organized in the following functions: Aircrew Training Development, Maintenance Training Development, Training Delivery, Operational Publications and Operations Support, Flight Operations Tools and Flight Operations Services.
The Job-Holder is in charge of TASTO3 Flight Operations Tools.
Main accountabilities are to:

·  Deliver on-time/quality the Flight Operations Tools products and services contracted by the Airbus Defence & Space Customers in accordance with the requirements defined by the Programmes directives.
·  Act as the company's responsible for the Flight Operations Tools related activities for Airbus Derivatives, including in front of the customer when so required, and the operational interface with the rest of company units, particularly with Airbus SAS/NavBlue, for such activities.
·  Lead/Manage the TASTO3 Flight Operations Tools team including work packages subcontracted to third parties.
·  Report on-time/quality to TASTO3 management on the activities, risks and issues under its perimeter.
·  Develop TASTO3 products belonging to Flight Operations Tools as defined under the applicable processes.
·  Support the update of Flight Operations Tools development processes.
·  Represent TASTO3 at forums relevant to Flight Operations Tools (i.e.: MISI, Flight Safety Committee, etc...).

Perfil buscado

Tasks & accountabilities

·  To manage the design, development, integration and delivery on time and on quality, of the products and services required by our Customers to TASTO3, related to Flight Operations Tools, to operate efficiently and safely their Airbus Derivatives aircraft:
·  Electronic Flight Bag (EFB)
·  Performance and Weight and Balance Software (e.g.: Performance Engineers' Program, Load and Trim Sheet, etc.)
·  Flight Ops Analytics software

 Manage all the resources (internal and subcontracted work packages) allocated to its function
 Develop and implement the Flight Ops Tools Management Plan, defining the required work packages in terms of scope, quality requirements, and timescales, to meet the Programmes requirements and the applicable quality and regulatory standards.

·  Sets tasks, timescales for each deliverable
·  Develop, maintain & Implement action plans and priorities
·  Define and monitor regularly the projects' KPI to properly track projects' performance.

 Manage the risks to the projects' successful outcome: Identify Programmes Risks and define and implement Risks Mitigations plans.
 Contribute to the finding of business opportunities within the Flight Operations Tools framework, aiming to put in place new products and services which result in benefit for Airbus Defence & Space and for operators
 Support the development of new products and services as required by TASTO3 Management team.
 Supports the Airbus Derivatives Flight Ops Tools quotations and technical proposals
 Supports Customer relations on Flight Ops Tools products and offers on behalf of TASL (Derivatives Programme Office) when so required.
 Build, manage, care and motivate the TASTO3 Team
 Reports to the TASTO3 Management team on its activities performance
 Contribute to TASTO/TAST/TAS/TA transversal projects with the TASTO3 competences/know-how, and resources as required.
 Belongs to and supports the TASTO3 Management team activities

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
o Aeronautical Engineering/Pilot with experience in Airbus platforms
o Technical knowledge:
 - Aircraft systems and Operation
 - Air-to-Air refuelling concepts, techniques, standards
 - Electronic Flight Bag systems (preferably Airbus FlySmart)
o Project Management techniques
o Professional skills:
 - Good negotiation and presentation skills.
 - Clear specification of requirements.
 - Ability to identify key issues.
 - Fluent English (negotiation level).
o Behavioural skills:
 - Ability to work in a team.
 - Taking initiative.
 - Self-motivated.
