A vacancy for Material Solution and Initial Provisioning has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Barajas, Madrid.

Tasks & accountabilities

The jobholder is responsible for defining and optimizing Initial Provisioning (IPL) and Recommended Spare Parts Lists (RSPL) for Airbus Defence & Space Customers (all ADS Platforms), defining P/N lists for AD&S owned Spares, calculating and consolidating the TASM cost base for all new (F)ISS offers, creating the respective Bidding Dossiers, generating SoWs for subcontracted activities related to Material Services and optimizing/improving the available Material Data.
Under this capacity, the jobholder is responsible for:
1. Developing, through the technical knowledge of the A/C configuration systems, the necessary capabilities to create customized spare parts lists, according to the Customers´ and ADS´s requirements, either as a part of the Initial provisioning Process, or linked to an In Service solution, for:

·  A/C Acquisition Contracts + ILS type support,
·  A/C Acquisition Contracts + (F)ISS type support
·  (F)ISS Support of existing fleets,

for ADS platforms (M&L, MRTT, A400M), either under AD&S or the Customers´ ownership/accountability.
2. Ensuring the on time delivery, completeness and accuracy of the above mentioned IP data, in accordance with the milestones set by Programs and/or TASD, either under direct TASMT3 responsibility, or external responsibility as an integrator/consolidator.
3. Improving the modelling process for the creation of the IPL/RSPLs, based on feedback from internal and external ADS customers, ensuring the integration of modelling expertise and know-how into the overall AD&S Services domain.
4. Representing ADS in front of the Customer, assisting the HO TASMT3, for all Initial Provisioning related issues, as requested.
5. Complying with the Material Data improvement initiative, through the utilization/incorporation of actual operational data and reliability reports.
6. Defining, consolidating and ensuring the on time delivery of all TASM related cost, under a single Cost Base, to be integrated by TASD and Programs in all new offers to be presented to the ADS Customers, including all identified Central and Local Service Modules.
7. Building the respective Bidding Dossiers, to be used as the base of offer pricing by TASD.
8. Representing Material Services (TASM) in Deal Committees and Risk Management Committees, related to new offers, for all ADS platforms, assisting the HO TASMT3, as requested.
9. Generating SoWs for subcontracted activities related to Material Services to be provided to (F)ISS Customers on site.

Main activities

Within the scope of his responsibilities, the Jobholder:
1. Leads Airbus Defense & Space Transport Aircraft modeling – Initial provisioning activities, in front of Customers, Industrial Partners and Suppliers.
2. Represents Airbus Defence & Space Transport Aircraft in front of the Customer for all Initial Provisioning matters and any other subject regarding the Logistic Configuration, as requested and responds to all Customer queries on IP deliverables.
3. Performs planning, follow-up and reporting of all Initial Provisioning (IP) activities and deliverables.
4. Ensures the set-up of coherent modelling processes, aligned with corporate policy & the activities to support the In-Service Support Solution to be used as a baseline for any global Airbus Defence & Space Transport Aircraft Material Support Services.
5. Manages and ensures availability of an integrated, complete and accurate list of data & assumptions, needed to meet the expected modeling output quality.
6. Manages the preparation and delivery, on time and on quality, of the modeling results in accordance with the maintenance concept and customer operational profile & requirements.
7. Carries out ‘What If' analysis and supports the Services organization in the preparation of scenarios, offers and business cases.
8. Ensures the compatibility and integration of any specific IT tool with the existing modeling solutions (MCA/OPUS10/SIMLOX).
9. Consolidates and transfers the Customers´ requirements as included in the respective RfPs for new offers and Programs/TASD assumptions to the involved departments and facilitates interpretation.
10. Delivers on time, on quality and in compliance with the TASD directives, the TASM related cost base for new (F)ISS offers.
11. Assists and supports the HO TASMT3, as necessary, representing Material Services (TASM), in Deal Committees and Risk Management Committees, related to new offers, for all ADS platforms.
12. Liaises with local ADS Subsidiaries, to ensure alignment concerning the onsite service modules to be provided to the Customer(s).
13. Follows up the results of the offer campaigns and apply “lessons learned” throughout TASMT.

Outputs

In the frame of his responsibilities, the Jobholder will:
2. Deliver accurate, complete and on time Initial Provisioning data so that the complete TASM organisation can fulfil their commitments through the supply chain.
3. Deliver spares and services cost and Inventory Business Cases related to requested In Service support scenarios, for TASD and Programs to fulfil their commitments towards the ADS Customers.
4. Generate and continuously optimize/improve integrated, complete and accurate data and assumptions to be used for Spares Modelling.
5. Generate SoWs for subcontracted activities related to Material Services to be provided to (F)ISS Customers on site.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Aeronautical Engineering or a related discipline.
·  At least 3 years' experience in Aircraft systems or Aircraft maintenance management
·  Logistics support and Supply Chain management experience would be desirable
·  English and Spanish: negotiation level
