Job Description

A vacancy for a Solution Architect (d/f/m) has arisen within Airbus (Commercial Aircraft) in Hamburg at the earliest possible start date. You will join the department “Industrial Projects”.

The team is currently working on projects with strong focus on SAP MM, PP, PS, SAP ME modules, also taking into account new digital technologies and data analytics axes.

Currently, Airbus is designing and implementing its industrial digital core solutions ARP (Airbus Resource Planning) and MES AOS (Manufacturing Execution System Airbus Operational Standards) which will be deployed at all industrial sites. The MES is the heart/core of the manufacturing digitalization strategy in Airbus. Together with ARP it is supporting seamless End to End integration from Manufacturing Engineering via planning and shop floor execution to attestation. The main focus is the seamless integration and deployment of the ARP, MES and scheduling solutions in Germany.

Tasks & accountabilities

You will be delivering the global design including technical requirements, principles and models that guides solution designed for the IT Product by analysing and translating business needs into information and technical requirements matching the architectural blueprint. On top you will be securing the integration of solutions across applications, systems and platforms to achieve business objectives and ensuring consistency across the IT Products.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Act as a visionary to proactively assist in defining the direction for the future IT products & Services and validate product designs
·  Collaborate with other Solution Architects, systems analysts, and developers to deliver the highest quality solutions via cutting edge technologies                                               
·  Define models including solution patterns
·  Participate in all phases of application development life cycle including research, design, development, testing, implementation and support                                               
·  Align architecture strategy with the organization's business goals and long-term strategic planning for the organization's Information systems                                                             
·  Define policies, standards and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation and use of Information Technology within the organization
·  Design the short, mid and long term roadmap for the Airbus Shopfloor Information Systems landscape
·  Prepare prototypes and mock ups for shopfloor use cases leveraging latest technologies

Your Boarding Pass

·  You hold a degree (or equivalent) in IT, Engineering or a related discipline
·  You have experience with complex IT Architecture & Product Design
·  Shopfloor Processes for Manufacturing & Supply Chain are well known to you
·  You have experience in implementing SAP MM, PP, SAP MII and SAP MES
·  You have already worked in an Agile-Scrum / DevOps environment
·  You are able to customise SAP
·  Knowledge on emerging technologies like big data, IoT or machine to machine connectivity is part of your profile
·  You have great communication & active listening skills and are able to build good customer relationships
·  Language Skills: Negotiation level of English, German would be a plus
