Afterwards there is the possibility for writing a final thesis, upon agreement with the department.

Tasks & accountabilities

The infrastructure group of the department develops new ways of solving engineering problems. One of the current topics is the design and maintenance of tools that support a variety of system engineering activities, such as proposal management, system concept design, avionics design, or system verification. In this context, new technologies and approaches are continuously being evaluated that improve the utility, effectivity, and efficiency of current and future engineering tools.

Central technologies are
- Java, the Eclipse IDE, and the Eclipse Modeling Framework EMF
- Google Web Toolkit and JavaScript

Potential tasks for the student placement include:
- Prototyping of a bridge between EMF applications and Google Suite
- Implementation of model transformations
- Prototyping new verification approaches of Web applications
- Prototyping of other new technologies and methodologies

Required skills

You offer:
- Enrolled student within Aerospace Engineering, System Engineering with a Background in Informatics or similar field of study
- Java, Eclipse/EMF, Google Web Toolkit
- English: fluent

You are a good team player, have excellent communication skills, and are able to work independently.
