As part of a school curriculum in initial training , you are looking for a mandatory internship or integrated into a gap year , that will allow you to validate your studies. The internship duration is 4 to 6 months maximum.

We are looking for Mechanical/Manufacturing engineer (m/f) who will be joining us at Airbus site in Toulouse – Saint Martin , in the Chief Engineering Team of Single Aisle programme (A319, A320, A321).

This internship is to be filled from February 2020 (the dates are subject to a certain flexibility)

You will be joining the department «Structures and system installation within the Chief Engineering Team of Single Aisle programme».

You will have the opportunity to work in a multi functional team in the frame of a project called 'Station 40 - 41 Acceleration plateau'.

The objective of this plateau is to support the Final Assembly Line (FAL) is its transformation to allow higher ramp up in production.

The team is composed of stess and design engineers, data scientists, manufacturing engineers, and production people.

·  Tasks and Responsibilities :

You will be working under the supervision of your manager who will help you identify your professional objectives and support you in the development of your skills.

You will be involved in two type of activities:

- Pain point eradication: A pain point is a recurring disturbance occurring during the assembly. The plateau has to identify the root causes (engineering, process, manufacturing), define the containment with proper evolution of design, process, tooling, and support the implementation within FAL

- Geometrical variability: this activity consists in the update of frontier drawing considering design, stress, manufacturing constrains and capabilities compatible of a production rate increase

You will be part of the plateau multifunctional team, thus you will interact with different competences being very closed to the final product.

Your main activities will be the following:

- support implementation of modification from a technical point of view

- support prepararation of technical dossiers (design, stress)

- participate to-design approach for some subjects (manufacturing engineering...)

·  Required skills :

You are preparing a diploma level Bac +5 , in Engineer Training or equivalent, and you obtain following competences:

- English: Advance Level

- French: Advance Level

- Your first experience in team work

- You are interested in customer focused

- You have a good knowledge on manufacturing processes

- You are able to use proficiently such tools as CATIA and finite elements stress tools

·  Soft skills: (choose competences that correspond to the posting)

- Rigorous, curious and autonomous

- Obtain good interpersonal and communication skills

- Able to integrate into team and be a flexible team player

- Have organizational skills

- Able to analyze and synthesize information
