Description of the job

A vacancy for a In-Service Systems Engineer EF GSS (Support SW) (d/f/m) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Manching. The successful applicant will join „System Analysis Avionics“.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out development work and studies to determine, ensure and maintain the EUROFIGHTER logistical system property.
- Creation of Windows-based support software for the analysis of mission and engineering data, their processing, preparation and presentation in the different usage scenarios at the customer, the SUZ EF and Airbus DS.
- Development and support of software solutions to maintain the system analysis capability of the Eurofighter system support centre.
- Definition, execution and coordination of all software tests required for qualification and approval at unit, subsystem and system level.
- Establishment and optimization of a manufacturing, qualification and certification process in cooperation with the approving aviation authority and internal and external stakeholders.
- Further development and optimization of the software products and conception of customer-oriented software solutions through cross-system cooperation with the users.
- Consultation of users and evaluation of feasibility and effort for planned support software products.
- Cross-system and international cooperation with other SUZ EF departments and departments of Airbus Defence and Space as well as EPCs regarding in-service activities; close cooperation and coordination with national military agencies.
- Implementation and coordination of new developments and modification activities in the field of technical documentation (e.g. IETD) of the EUROFIGHTER weapon system (share nat.MSS and Support SW).
- Execution and coordination of necessary training measures for military services.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Degree in engineering (aerospace engineering) .
- Employment as system engineer on the weapon system Eurofighter or comparable, several years' use in the field of production / MRO.
- Several years of work experience on the EUROFIGHTER weapon system across systems and subsystems (focus on Ground Support System)
- Cooperation with military agencies.
- Experience in troubleshooting complex weapon systems.
- Experience in technical and SW project management including risk management and requirements based engineering.
- Work in project teams during the execution of complex technical or SW projects.
- Knowledge of the weapon system EUROFIGHTER as well as its development and technical in-service documentation.
- Knowledge regarding the soil. Support systems MSS and natMSS
- Experience and knowledge of the operational operation of the weapon system EUROFIGHTER in the German Air Force as well as of the operational management of the weapon system EUROFIGHTER in the German Air Force and the mission data Generation.
- Knowledge in dealing with PDM and PVCS.
- Good knowledge of the programming languages Ada, C#, Visual Studio.
- Knowledge of civil & military certification procedures.
- Profound knowledge of (software) development processes.
- Safe handling of the quality standards of an aeronautical Operation.
- You have a high degree of flexibility and willingness to take national and international business trips as well as needs-based Shift work and on-call duty.
- You are independent, responsible, able to work under pressure, strong in communication and above all able to work in a team.
- Fluent in German and English.
