Description of the job

A vacancy for a Human Factors and Flight Deck Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe .
The successful applicant will join Engineering Department .

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Requirements Identification and Analysis:

*Definition of operational and mission requirements for miltary aircraft
*Establishment of relevant airworthiness and human factors engineering design requirements
*Definition of HMI philosophy and HMI design requirements.
*Establishment of Night Vision compatibility design requirements

Design Activities:
*Human Factors Analysis (e.g. Definition of task and workload analysis,Application of human factors and ergonomics criteria mainly to cockpit systems HMI, System function allocation analysis and cockpit integration)
*HMI Prototyping, simulation and modeling.
*Flight Deck and Cabin Systems HMI design and integration.
*Night Vision compatibility.
*Contribution to contractual and technical design documentation from a Human Factors Engineering perspective.

Testing Activities:
*Definition of appropriate Human Factors Engineering evaluation procedures and methods (HMI, Workload, Situational Awareness, Human Error)
*Definition of Human Factors Engineering requirements for evaluation facilities (e.g. mockups, simulators,...)
*Conduct Human Factors Engineering evaluations in the appropriate environment (evaluation in mock-ups, simulator and aircraft...)

Human Factors Engineering Certification & Qualification activities:
*Identification of relevant airworthiness regulation.
*Definition of Human Factors Engineering certification and qualification means of compliance
*Provision of Human Factors Engineering certification and qualification documentation

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to degree level in Engineering
·  Experience in Engineering
·  Experience in A400M and/or Medium & Light programmes
·  Experience in Human Factors Engineering Certification & Qualification activities
·  English advanced
·  Spanish will be valuable
