Description of the job

A vacancy for a Group Leader AIT has arisen within CRISA in Tres Cantos.
The successful applicant will join ENGINEERING / Testing.

The successful applicant should be able to work on shifts, if required.

Tasks & accountabilities

The Group Leader is part of the Test Team Spain within Operations (TSPMB) and responsible of a team tasked in performing Acceptance Tests at AIT (Assembly Integration and Test) level.

Your team will carry on all tasks related to AIT activities of the assigned projects, in some cases being members of the Project Core Teams.

Work is developed under the supervision and in collaboration with the HO Test Spain with the following tasks:

·  Coordinate the individual tasks of the team under his/her responsibility.
·  Provide support to projects organizing the workload on his/her team to accomplish with standard delivery times.
·  Collaborate with Team Leaders either in Operations or in Engineering to organize people in his/her team giving direct support to projects.
·  Suggest, define and establish new procedures or new process to improve AIT activities (lean approach).
·  Participate in the industrialization of acceptance test activities, which is a part of the manufacturing process
·  Motivate and convince staff about lean and lead by example
·  Develop the capability to carry on test activities: recruitment of personnel, management of local facilities and test equipment, and control of activities in the assigned projects.
·  Identify and develop technical skills of the AIT team under his/her responsibility, including associate trainings.
·  Participate either in management meetings or in coordination ones.
·  Cost control of the activities under his/her perimeter.
·  Organization of staff necessities (safety, holidays, etc.)

Responsibilities:

·  Ensure consistent deployment of test means (HW, SW, Set-Ups, and teams).
·  Provide support to adequate test execution, aligned with delivery scheduling.
·  Transparently reporting to other team members and immediate responsible.
·  Keep the own skills up to date and conduct training at regular intervals as necessary.
·  Ensure good communication with the own team and transversal ones.
·  Work closely with Test Managers, Manufacturing Engineers and Industrial Managers when needed.
·  Work closely and develop collaborative relationship with other units within Space Equipment.
·  Participate to the workload reviews and optimize the resources accordingly.

This role will involve frequent travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to vocational training level (or equivalent electronics or a related discipline.
·  At least 3-5 years of experience in a related area.
·  English and Spanish must be negotiation level, both written and spoken
·  Proven experience in teams management.
·  Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
·  Strong leadership skills and high level of engagement.
·  Autonomy, ability to operate with multifunctional teams.
·  Open-minded and change management promoter.
·  Willingness to improve process and procedures and increase quality in our scopes.
