Description of the job

As part of the Finance NextGen Programme, a vacancy for a Finance digitalization manager (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Elancourt. You will join the Space Equipment Finance and Controlling organisation.

The Finance NextGen Programme is an Airbus Defence & Space-wide development programme.
This programme is designed to identify and develop talented Leaders for the Airbus Finance Community who will contribute significantly towards achieving our business goals.

The Finance NextGen Programme - sponsored by Airbus Defence & Space' CFO - enables its participants to enhance financial know-how and expertise, combined with further learning in management and leadership competencies.

The mission of the programme:

¤ Fostering and deepening participants' financial knowledge and expertise on the Airbus world of Finance, enlarging the scope to the international financial context
¤ Linking formal learning with rotating, real-business project assignments
¤ Increasing participants' project management and leadership competencies
¤ Encouraging networking, job shadowing, mobility and cross-cultural experiences
¤ Mentorship from a member of the Finance Top Management
¤ Invitation to a Airbus Defence & Space Finance Conference.

This Program consists of two assignments in two different countries. Each assignment lasts for a period of two years. They are combined with off-the-job modules, designed to strengthen participant's management and financial competencies

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.

Tasks & accountabilities

In a very challenging business context the objectives of the Finance Digitalization Manager are to improve the financial system environment and to push forward digitalization in Spacecraft Equipment Finance.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include :

• Support Controlling & Reporting team with the financial reporting (define, harmonize and ensure consistency and compliance, incl. tools).

• Develop and implement a central reporting platform in Spacecraft Equipment.

• Deploy, drumbeat, and drive the implementation of new consolidation and reporting standard within Spacecraft Equipment.

• Coordinate with financial teams in France, UK, Spain, Netherlands and Germany.

• Drive standardization through the finance roadmap.

• Implement local improvement initiatives such as a leaner month's end reporting and industrial board.

• Propose and coordinate mitigation actions needed to support discussion and decision- making at management level.

• The jobholder implements transnational reports and processes and ensures the full financial visibility for all the processes through the implementation of new transnational tools supported by local inputs.

This role will involve some travels for business (around twice a month) in Europe and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.

Required skills

You will have the following skills and experience :

• Educated to a master degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Experience required : Financial consolidation and reporting.
• Ability to think analytically is important for this financial role.
• Highly numerate and computer literate.
• High proficiency with MS Excel.
• Critical thinking & ability to constructively challenge the operational business.
• Good team working skills.
• Good communication skills (ability to make finance important to non-finance people and to make complex issues understandable).
• Language Skills: Fluent in French, negotiation level in English.
