An Internship for a Flight Test - LIDAR Uses and Applications has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe .

The successful applicant will join Engineering Department .

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

In the frame of development or qualification flights of military aircrafts, 'FTI architecture team' is continuously looking for new technical solutions. In this perimeter there is a need to identify and locate objects in the near field of an aircraft (i.e. aircrafts during in-flight refuelling operations or weapon position during weapon trials).

The applicant will have to:

·  Identify the state of the art on LIDAR and Stereoscopic Cameras
·  Participate in the development of a real solution, suitable to be installed and tested in an aircraft ( Best A/C position, HW selection, electronic integration,  Interface application development are tasks to be accomplish ).

Supporting on time and efficiently a manager or a team in operational, planning or organizational tasks.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills:

·  Educated to degree level in Engineering (i.e Telecommunication, Robotic or Automatic or Aeronautical)
·  Knowledge of following aspects will be highly valuable

C++ / Python.

GPUs (Graphic Processors Units)  Programming.

·  English advanced
·  Spanish will be valuable

Conditions:

During the internship you will have a grant of 1000€/month aprox depending on the type of internship you finally join.

Duration of 1 year (August will be not working month)
