As part of a school curriculum in initial training , you are looking for a mandatory internship or integrated into a gap year , that will allow you to validate your studies. The internship duration is 4 to 6 months maximum.

We are looking for Air Traffic Control communication System protocol Decoding Tool Suite (m/f) who will be joining us at Airbus site in Toulouse Saint-Martin

This internship is to be filled from January or Febuary 2020 (the dates are subject to a certain flexibility)

You will be joining the department « IYAC1 » which activities include Air/Ground communication focusing on dedicated standard protocols.

 The objective of the internship is to develop & integrate a suite of tools to decode Board/Ground protocols. As a matter of fact Data Link systems in-service queries require to decode several protocols for various layers based on Data Link Service providers, In-Service Monitoring logs. In this context it becomes important to have at our disposal a consistent tool suite to decode traces received from customer services

·  Tasks and Responsibilities :

You will be working under the supervision of your manager who will help you identify your professional objectives and support you in the development of your skills.

The main task is to provide the best framework & architecture solution to support decoding of all possible combination of trace format & protocols & target layers.  

This solution will be based on an AS-IS analysis with our stakeholders providing traces & existing tools and should be versatile enough to allow format adaptation on the long run.  

The TO-BE will have to take into account short term & longer terms need with a progressive approach to cover all the need eventually.  

 The tool suite is targeted to be based on PYTHON framework and WIRESHARK. The stakeholder will be: Airbus Test Centre, Airbus India, Datalink Service Provider, Suppliers and Subcontractors. The tool front end has to be easily linkable to SPLUNK & shall propose a user friendly Graphical User Interface.

In this mission you will develop a strong experience in:

·  International Stakeholder Management

·  Required skills :

You are preparing a diploma level Bac+ 4 or BAC+5 in Engineering or equivalent, with specialisation in Computer Science / Telecommunication Engineering and you obtain following competences:

·  OSI network 7 layer model
·  ACARS & ATN protocols & network
·  Python v3, pyCharm & pyQT (GUI) would be a strong asset
·  WireShark & SPLUNK would be nice
·  Rigorous and Teamwork oriented
·  Advanced English for stakeholders interaction

- English: ADVANCED

- You are interested in software development

- You have a good knowledge of Protocols (IP, OSI model, X25, etc.)

- You are able to use proficiently such tools as PYTHON

·  Soft skills:

- Rigorous, curious and autonomous

- Able to integrate into team and be a flexible team player

- Able to analyze and synthesize information
