The Airbus’ Information Management (IM) division and Digital Accelerator department are looking for an API Solution Architect (m/f) to join the API & Integration Products team in Toulouse, France.

Within the Digital Transformation of Airbus, the Information Technology of the company is being completely redesigned, to focus on creating added value for the business. API is a key enabler of this transformation.

Understanding business needs, and proposing architectural solutions that enable the wider reuse of APIs within Airbus. Evangelize the emerging Airbus API-first strategy. You will combine you deep understanding of software architecture with your creativity to design new solutions to evolving challenges.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your specific responsibilities will be:
‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾
ø Working closely with Product Owners to analyse, assess and understand business needs and translate such into IT solutions,
ø Designing and supporting the delivery of API based solutions and integration architectures via highly-available, scalable, maintainable, secured, monitored systems and services,
ø Evangelizing an API-first culture within Airbus,
ø Coaching and mentoring other architects.

This role will involve regular travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.

Required skills

Your Boarding Pass
‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾
ø Master’s Degree specialising in Information Technology (or equivalent),
ø Significant work experience as a software and/or solution architect in the context of API and Integration,
ø Strong understanding of Enterprise Integration Patterns, RESTful Web-services and SOAP-based Web-services,
ø Experience in building Web-oriented Architecture and MicroServices,
ø Experience of Agile/DevOps environments,
ø Knowledge on programming languages and concepts such as Java, Python, Go, XML, Json,
ø Knowledge of some of the following products/tools: Splunk, ElasticSearch, Ansible, Docker, Nexus, Artifactory, GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, Jira/Confluence, etc.,
ø Experience in API Design using RAML or Swagger,
ø Knowledge of Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus: building and deploying cloud solutions (AWS preferred),
ø Specific MuleSoft Skills:

·  AnyPoint Exchange, Anypoint Studio, DataWeave, Connectors, MUnit,

·  App specific connectors, CXF, Mule ESB, CloudHub, AMC, API Gateway,

·  MuleSoft certification at any level would be plus,
ø TOGAF certification would be a plus,
ø Advanced level of English and advanced level of French would be appreciated.
