Description of the job

A vacancy for a Design Implementation engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Portsmouth. The successful applicant will join TEICP-TL7
·  Engineering / Structure Design & Integration.

Working in Portsmouth Mechanical Design Office, responsible for the Mechanical design aspects of telecommunications Satellites, specifically the communications module. Through the phases of Customisation, Detailed Design and Prepare for Assembly

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Ancillary Item Design in accordance with PTH MDO modelling rules using Company CAD Tools.

·  Managing the layout of equipment on the spacecraft panels.

·  Producing waveguide routings in accordance with project inputs (ICD's and Interface Block Diagram).

·  Producing Coax Cable routings in accordance with project inputs (Equipment ICD's and interface Block Diagram)

·  Manage electronic release of associated drawing and data files via Company PDM Tool.

·  Certif., Qualif. &/or Airworthiness

·  D040: Overall Materials & Processes

·  D050: Overall Mechanics / Structure

·  A201: Design to requirements

·  A202: Tolerancing

·  A203: Verify design
