A vacancy for a DAE Aerial Delivery / Cargo & Cabin Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe .

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  As certification/qualification panel leaders for their area of competence, ensure the definition of certification policies and promote their consistent application across programs;
·  Participate in the development of new certification/Qualification strategies or policies in coordination with the relevant designated certification Specialists (DCSs) and Chief Airworthiness and Qualification (CAQE) Team, in particular for novel or unusual design features or for compliance demonstration method improvement;
·  Formalize the Company position on CRIs or MCRIs (in the military case) to reach an agreement with Aviation Authorities on the considered policies, strategies, interpretations, or compliance demonstration methods;
·  Are the interface with Aviation Authorities at panel level for primary TC, activities and for allocated major Changes.
·  For their field of competency, the responsibilities of Certification Managers are to:
·  Be chairman of the certification panel (in coordination with DCSs and CAQE team), for meetings with Aviation Authorities;
·  Propose (in coordination with DCSs and CAQE team) the initial Certification Basis, at panel level, including potential CRIs for new/novel features;
·  Support the DCSs in discussions with Aviation Authorities on Certification/Qualification Basis Certification/Qualification Plan, Means of Compliance, and compliance demonstration methods;
·  In coordination with the DCS and CAE team, propose the Airbus position for CRIs;
·  Ensure coordination of transverse activities common to several technical disciplines;
·  Ensure consistent approaches across different programs in harmonizing certification methods, issues;
·  Resolve sensitive certification issues, e.g. interpretations, equivalent safety cases, Alternate Means of Compliance, etc.;
·  Act as Major Change Coordinator for allocated modifications;
·  Support the Chief Engineers and CAQE in cases of significant Changes to the Certification Basis and on complex In-Service events for Continued Airworthiness;
·  Provide regulatory expertise and support to CEs, CAQE team, and DCSs;
·  Perform training as part of the airworthiness training courses as per DOM chapter 3.9;
·  Once nominated as such, sign as a (Compliance Verification Engineer) CVE and/or a (Designated Airworthiness Engineer) DAE;
·  Monitor the regulation changes, identify any effect on the compliance of the relevant A/C programs, where the disciplines and responsibilities areconcerned, and report.
·  Ensure SB review and airworthiness approval for the technical perimeter of the position
·  Ensure R Concession airworthiness approval for the technical perimeter of the position
·  Ensure A400M Continued Airworthiness support by coordinating Risk assessment production as Level 2 signatory and reporting to A400M CAE and CAM

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to degree level in Engineering
·  Experience in Engineering
·  Experience in Cargo & Cabinwill be valuable.
·  Experience in Project Management
·  English advanced
·  Spanish will be valuable
