Description of the job

A vacancy for a Configuration & Change Manager for Software and System (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Manching. The successful applicant will join “TEAIC-TL2 - TL2 Configuration Management GE”.

Compensation level: Compensation Level EG10 - 11, if job requirements are met // published until: 04.07.2018

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Manage technical relationship with customers.
·  Coordinate a multidisciplinary team to develop a system/product/service, through the entire lifecycle.
·  Capture customer needs, define technical requirements, and turn them into a feasible solution by proposing an architecture.
·  Secure development process and expenses engagement by performing early validations and refining system requirements. - Ensure accuracy and consistency of engineering requirements and designs, and ability to successfully manufacture.
·  Follow up the manufacturing process and manage technical relationship with suppliers. Demonstrate the system performance through verification and tests.
·  Deliver the system to the customer, possibly operate. Ensure system consistency: link correctly lifecycle stages, control sub-systems compliance, operate trade-offs over discipline-based constraints, smooth interfaces between specialised engineers.
·  Anticipate and manage transversal technical and business issues, arbitrate between solutions considering all aspects: reusability, optimisation, opportunity, schedule, quality, cost, risks, safety and performance.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Technical University Degree or apprenticeship or similar
·  Practical experience in Configuration & Change Management, focus on SW, System & Equipment
·  Technical knowledge of IT tools: Teamcenter PDM, PCMS, Doors, MS Office applications
·  German / English: fluent / business fluent
