Job Description

The Consolidation teams across Airbus have a key role to play in the preparation of the financial information to be shared with internal and external parties.
Consolidation Accountant is responsible for the aggregation of the financial data from entities or the divisions and performing the necessary adjustments to obtain the consolidated financial statements ensuring data quality and consistency.
You will be part of the Airbus Consolidation team (9 people), jointly accountable for the delivery of Airbus consolidated statements in accordance with overall quality and timetable requirements.
• Monthly closing for management and reporting purposes
• Quarterly delivery of audited statements
• Yearly disclosure of Airbus financial package

Main challenges:
• Adherence of closing deadlines
• Adherence to accounting rules (IFRS) and business reporting needs

Task & accountabilities :
Within the Airbus consolidation department, we are looking for a person to manage the consolidation process for Airbus consolidated and be the sales financing focal point for Airbus.

Your main responsibilities will be to:
1) For Airbus consolidated:
- Prepare and anticipate the quarterly closings in relation with the Disclosure team and Divisions consolidation teams (timeline, instructions, guidance)
- Support the delivery of the quarterly consolidated financial statements and supporting analysis :
o Perform quarterly consolidation entries in coordination with other departments within the group and ensure data is accurate and documented for management and auditors
o Prepare the equity reconciliation for Airbus consolidated
o Perform quality checks on entities or divisions submissions
o Annually, contribute to the additional information check and preparation for the Airbus disclosures.
- Understand the new accounting rules and ensure correct implementation
- Participate and support on-going projects on the quality improvement, documentation, year-end process and deadline reduction.

2) As Sales financing focal point:
Make sure sales financing activities are well reflected in the consolidation financial statements by:
o Creating a strong relationship with sales financing controlling to anticipate topics and share knowledge
o Getting an understanding of transactions of the month and make sure they are correctly reflected in the P&L and B/S
o Performing entries and controls on a monthly basis
o Making sure cash movements are well reflected in the cash-flows statements

Required skills :

You will have the following skills and experience:

• Educated to a Master Degree level in Finance/Accounting/Audit or equivalent

• At least 5 years of professional experience

• Knowledge in Accounting & IFRS

• Microsoft Excel skills

• SAP/FACTS knowledge is highly appreciable
• Flexible
• High motivated, team player
• Very organized and self-disciplined, Analytic and structured methodology
• Proactive

• Language skills: negotiation level of English
