Job Description

ATR, world leader in the market for regional aircraft up to 90 seats, is looking for an intern in its headquarter in Blagnac (France) within the Structure Design Office. He/She will join a team of 8 people in charge, among others, of Modifications and In service Occurrences Investigation.

 The internship will consist in studying the fluids draining path in the airframe. The frame of this study is an improvement project facing corrosion issues, especially due to fluids stagnation.

 To do so, the candidate should be able to read and understand airframe drawings in order to identify current draining paths in the fuselage, wing and stabilizers and propose improvements.

 In parallel, he/she will be asked to check on aircraft in Final Assembly Line (FAL) the consistency of the assumptions and improvement proposals.

 As a future Engineer, the intern will be in charge of his/her own project, for which is encouraged to make proposals, to provide evidence and rationale behind problems identifications and proposed solutions.

Task & accountabilities :

Your activities would be :

- evaluate the context and recurrent issues

- provide a Design analysis

- look for root causes

- if needed, realize tests

- propose corrective actions

Required skills :

You are currently following Engineering courses (Master 2 degree), in the field of Mechanics, specialized in aeronautics.

The internship will begin in March 2020 (flexible), for a 6 month period.
