Description of the job

An excellent opportunity for a young graduate or last year student to undertake an Internship with Airbus Operations in Getafe. You will join the Airframe R&T Rear End Fuselage & Empennage department.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
Conception and development of innovative composite material structures applicable to rear fuselage ( section 19, section 19.1) and stabilizers (leading/trailing edge, torsion box and elevator) subcomponents. More specifically:

·  Conceptual design using CATIA V5R21
·  Definition of configuration controls and Digital Mock-Up management
·  Analysis of state of the art and current solutions
·  Analysis of component interfaces
·  Systems integration

Analysis of alternatives and trade-off studies by means of the integration of information provided by other domains (Stress, Materials & Processes, Manufacturing, Assembly, etc.)
Development and presentation of technical documentation (3D models, 2D drawings, technical reports and presentations) related to aero-structures.
Intellectual property protection by means of patent requests and defensive publications.

Required skills

You will have the following skills and experience:
Last year engineering degree students or recently graduated engineers of Aeronautical engineering.
Experience in the use of CATIA V5 is a must (University training courses will not be considered)
Experience in the use of MS Office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong English skills, both oral and written
High level of Spanish is required
Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving

Ability to work to strict timescales as part of an integrated and multidisciplinary team
