Description of the job
A position as Aircraft System & Production Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe (Madrid). The successful applicant will join TOFTT2 department.
Tasks & accountabilities
The main accountabilities of this position will be to:
a. Support production activities related to MRTT conversion.
b. Follow the schedule and search continuous improvement with the planning and production control department in order to reduce lead time.
c. Follow the Job Cards instructions and all task associated with continuous improvement.
d. Accomplish the level of quality required reducing the cost of non-quality.
e. Organize the different task and the subcontractors in order to achieve a high level of efficiency.
f. Accomplish the conversion tasks within stablished budget and all proposal to reduce cost when possible.
h. Manage a multifunctional team with different departments and partners.
i. Manage the incidence generated at shop-floor level and control their flow.
j. Contribute to Production excellence by managing and leading the Production tools (lean, Quest, etc.)
k. Contribute to staff improvement expertise by increasing their capabilities and skills.

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
• Educated to Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering degree or a related discipline.
• Experience in Production Engineering.
• Knowledge in Aircraft systems.
• SAP knowledge would be highly valuated.
• MS Office: professional level.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• English: Advanced.
• Spanish: Advanced.
