Airframe Structure Engineer APSYS is looking for Airframe Structure Engineers. Depending background and competencies of the candidate, the role will be oriented as Work Package Manager (WPM) and/or Designated Airworthiness Engineer (DAE) Your mission and responsibilities for new and in-service helicopters will include: • Technical perimeter addressed: Metallic and composite structures • Coordination of all design related tasks with internal and external interfaces (like stress department, production, aerodynamics, materials & processes etc.) within the defined scope of work • Manage the elaboration of concept, drawing sets, repair solutions with the designer team • Organize the daily work of the team and ensure relation with internal customer • Collaborate to provide continuous support to manufacturing deviations for solving the non-conformances in the parts / concessions • Project follow-up and piloting of activities performed by sub-contractors • Elaborate synthetic progress reports We are looking for candidates with the following skills: • You hold an engineering degree or comparable –PhD diploma specialized in mechanical, aircraft design, materials, and / or aerospace • Technologist you are attracted by design, mechanic, high quality demanding industry. Knowledge of design principles (State of the Art, manufacturing processes and materials is mandatory • Knowledge of working with DMU (Digital Mock Up) product Structures and Configuration Management (Catia V4/V5, VPM/3Dcom PDM) • Knowledge in qualification and certification of aircraft structures as well as global understanding of aircraft development processes to support transversal activities in early project phases is a plus • Ability to develop ideas, concept for new technologies and practical solution for industrial manufacturing applications • You ideally justify a first experience in project management and production assistance. • Curious, pro-active, you know how to work in a multidisciplinary team, and have a good analytical mind • French: native/fluent.
