Description of the job

Tasks & accountabilities

APSYS is looking for a new talent to reinforce its team. By joining us, you will be an actor of the A/C safety team, and by such you will ensure the safety of our customer’s products. You will intervene more particularly in the safety engineering domain, and will manage for one or more given A/C programs the A/C level safety activities.

Tasks & accountabilities
The A/C safety engineer works in close collaboration with aircraft / system design team to support the development of aircraft systems and ensure that the A/C comply with safety objectives defined by regulations.
As A/C Safety specialist, your main responsibilities will be:

·  Define the A/C Safety policy to be applied by all involved stakeholder.

·  Review of the:

·  System safety assessments (SFHA (System Functional Hazard Analysis) / PSSA (Preliminary System Safety Assessment)/ SSA (System Safety Assessment) and CMA (Common Mode Analysis))

·  PRA (Particular Risk Analysis),

·  ZSA (Zonal Safety Analysis)

·  Identify possible improvements in A/C safety process application, and propose improvement actions.

·  Take part in design solution trade-offs to identify the best solution at A/C level to fit all safety objectives.

·  Perform A/C Safety and V&V synthesis activities

·  Communicate and substantiate the main outcomes of safety activities in front of the Programme Chief Engineering Office, and Airworthiness Authorities.

·  Support the certification team in getting the A/C certified (from negotiation of applicable requirements with Airworthiness Authorities up to presentation of the safety dossier).

You will be in interface with specialists from other aerospace disciplines such as system safety, human factor, flight test, operation, maintenance, certification…
Based on your level of experience, you may be able to take the lead for a project, which could be the cornerstone of the new airbus aircrafts operations.

Required skills

Technical Skills :
Your Boarding Pass:

·  Proven professional experience in Safety applied to aerospace or defence systems.

·  Knowledge of Aircraft systems architecture and functions

·  Knowledge of Aircraft operations

·  Certification Specification for civil aircraft CS25, CS23.

·  Applicable standards: ARP4754A, ARP4761

·  Experience with relevant Safety analysis conventional technics, including but not limited to, Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), System safety Analysis (SSA) Common Mode Analysis (CMA),

·  With a good analytical and synthesis mind-set, you possess good authoring skills and proven interpersonal skills.

·  Good communication and organizational skills

·  Good English language knowledge (negotiation level) necessary.
