We are currently recruiting for a Head of Facilities Management to start ASAP. You will be creating and operating a diverse workplace supporting the operational requirements of the organisation. You will hold responsibility for the implementation of Facilities Management (FM) and estate strategies providing safe, sustainable efficient and effective accommodation and services that are fit for purpose

The Organisation are a unique law enforcement organisation which both investigate and prosecute the most serious economic crime. They focus on tackling the most serious, complex and high profile economic crime (top tier fraud, bribery and corruption).

·  Location: City of London -some travel will be required depending on business requirements.

·  Pay: £16.19 p/hr

·  Type: Temporary

·  Hours: Mon-Fri, 36 hours p/week

·  Duration: 3 Months

·  Start Date: ASAP (Pending Vetting)

Due to the client involved a vetting period will be involved prior to start which will be discussed with successful candidates.

Key Responsibilities

·  Planning and implementation of office accommodation and services in line with strategic decisions. This includes requirements for improving flexible working, and development drafting option appraisals as the departments requirements change.

·  Responsible for delivery of an effective and efficient FM Help Desk service to the organisation and seeking ways to improve communications and updates to staff.

·  To work with the landlords and Managing Agents on all building maintenance, environmental and Health and Safety issues.

·  Drafting clear and concise specifications, supplier performance reports and documents for a range of contracts and projects.

·  Hold responsibility as Departmental Health and Safety Co-ordinator, identifying risks and implementing working methods for new legislation and its impact on working methods.

·  Implementation of sustainable development policies into FM contracts in order to meet targets set.

·  Assisting with the management of FM budgets and service charge account.

·  Ensuring that staff appraisals are conducted in accordance with departmental policy.

·  Expected to work out of hours (evenings and weekends paid overtime) and from alternative locations in London and acting as the accommodation lead for business continuity.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCES:

·  Must have I.T Knowledge, e.g good excel/word

·  The successful candidate will have an established track record of Estates and Facilities Management including property planning, space rationalisation. The role holder will also have extensive knowledge of building maintenance and environmental standards and statutory regulations.

·  Minimum qualification of National General Certificate in Health and Safety.

·  Demonstrable experience of managing a range of FM contracts and effectively handling stakeholder expectations.

·  A track record of delivering successful outcomes and achieving value for money within Estates Management, and experience of managing estates and FM budgets.

·  Experience in line management of staff providing leadership and direction to ensure that the FM team fully understands the key role they provide in the delivery of high quality services.

·  Well-developed communication, facilitation, networking and influencing skills combined with the ability to engage effectively with strong written and verbal communications at all levels in the organisation.
