We have an exciting opportunity to work with a University based in central London. This role is currently until the 22nd November 2019 and is paying £14.17 per hour.

Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to provide employment services to the department, in order to enhance the University's students' employability and recruitability, while assisting their career development in line with the department's and the University's strategic plan, and in co-operation with the department's guidance team.
The role focuses on sourcing opportunities (internships, placements and graduate jobs) and organising events for students and alumni with potential employers (for example Careers Fairs). The Business Relations Officers liaise closely with external and internal opportunity providers (end clients and recruitment agencies), developing new and existing employer relations ensuring a structured approach to the university's employer engagement efforts. This will combine new business skills and relationship management.

To actively and systematically develop links with employers in conjunction with the department's business development systems and strategy.

To assist the departmental team in its prime objective, i.e. to help students place themselves in temporary and permanent positions utilising the department's modular career development programme. This includes research into information on possible internship and career opportunities

Produce and distribute (mainly online) promotional materials, utilising multiple social media channels.

To support the development and management of services to opportunity providers to increase employer engagement with the University, and to co-ordinate events and activities in support of this.
5.
To manage and supply content for the department's online vacancies board, and ensure best practice standards and employer codes of conduct are adhered to. To adhere to processes within the department and the university.
6.
To actively support the CBR Operations Manager in achieving the standards and procedures set for employer relations development.
7.
To manage the collection of 'success stories' - securing and recording anecdotal and quantitative evidence of successful student and employer engagement.
8.
To develop and manage the department's online resources with a special focus on the use of social media to increase employer engagement.
9.
To monitor recruitment trends and demands of labour markets and use labour market information to inform guidance activities and departmental strategy.
10.
To conduct project based and research activities that will contribute to best practice and improvements in the department and to network with fellow careers professionals in order to facilitate market research.
11.
To update and improve skills through continuous professional development and to attend relevant conferences, training courses and to keep abreast of research relating to CEIG.
12.
To manage communications and relationships of both internal and external stakeholders on specific programmes from an employer relations perspective.
13.
To manage the handing of company feedback data and the outreach attached to this.
14.
To represent the University and the team at internal and external events and meetings.
15.
To carry out any other duties that may be required by the departmental manager.
16.
Actively seek to implement the University's Health and safety policy, and give due regard to the health and safety of themselves and others when carrying out duties.

Computer literate with a good understanding of databases and social media.
Experience of generating contacts and links in industry. (Networking proficiency)
Experience within recruitment, marketing, PR, events or business development role.
Experience of managing communication to a diverse audience both online and off.

An interest and willingness to learn about new systems, technologies and social media.
Ability to build strong links with other departments, academics and employers.
General interest in recruitment or business development using various sales techniques
Strong communicator, both in writing and verbal.
