Cost Control Site Engineer

ACCIONA Infrastructure Australia is looking for a Cost Control Site Engineer for an important project in North NSW,

This role is to coordinate all technical activities for the Cost Control and planning for the project, ensuring the day to day Site Cost Control is executed efficiently and effectively.

Ensures effective communication and coordination between all disciplines to maintain accurate cost control. Coordinating the overall forecast process for the project and managing deviation analysis

Key Responsibilities:
· Ensuring accurate records are maintained in the Cost Control Program (SEO)
· Ensuring incurred cost in cost coded correctly. Reviewing cost code allocation.
· Assist in all the month-end processes.
· Assisting in preparation of monthly progress claim, by providing records of actual work carried out on site for each activity
· Reporting to facilitate management decision-making process and ensuring optimal technical - economic.

Quality, Environmental and Safety:

· Ensure all quality and environmental aspects of the project are addressed to maintain effective operation and project delivery.
· Maintain and apply all relevant standards, policies, guidelines and legislative requirements necessary to support responsible decisions and courses of action for the construction of road infrastructure projects;

Planning and Operations:

· Provide support on planning the use of materials, resources, components or systems within the project, and construction practices and problems to ensure project success, value for money and best practice are achieved.
· Manage the operational aspects of work crews to ensure the effective and efficient use of systems and processes involved with all phases of the project management model
Scheduling and Reporting:
· Assist Project Engineer in maintaining updated construction program, linked with Forecasted Final Cost and Forecasted Income (month by month).
Communication:
· Manage and maintain effective liaison and communication with all levels of project management team on all matters relating to the construction activities.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Experience/Qualifications

·  Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Package.
·  Current Australian state driver's license.
·  Availability to travel interstate
·  High level of English language
·  Desirable high level of Spanish language due to frequen interaction with Spain.
·  A Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent Civil Engineering qualification which is accepted by Engineers Australia is desirable.
·  Previous experience in construction projects.
