People in the Corporate Function career track contribute to the running of Accenture as a high- performance business through specialization within a specific functional area, and grow into internally focused roles by deepening their skills and/or developing new skills within an internal functional area.

Finance professionals prepare and interpret financial plans and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable financial rules and regulations, including internal financial controls, to mitigate risk for the company. Finance professionals may also shape and execute client deals to maximize the use of Accenture's capital and resources, manage cash and/or liaise with the investor community.

This summer analyst role will have the unique opportunity to work with both the Global Controllership and Client Financial Management teams to gain a broad understanding of Accenture and the different opportunities available within Finance.

Global Controllership Role

· Assist in the review of monthly financial statements of Accenture plc, selected quarterly and annual sections of the SEC 10-Q/K Filings, including footnote disclosures and Management's Discussion & Analysis, Earnings release financial statements and review of other earnings release materials (i.e. Press release and CEO/CFO scripts).
· Assist in performance of annual goodwill impairment analysis
· Assist in the process for quarterly internal and external reporting of the Company's third party indemnifications and guarantees, including working with the various groups within Finance to prepare detailed and summary schedules for the Company's external auditors and its' CFO.
· Assist in the Company's annual Fair Value Margin analysis.
· Assist in preparation and review XBRL tags and assist with taxonomy updates and migration
· Provide assistance to external auditors during quarterly review and annual audit processes.
· Assist in the monitoring of Accenture investments to ensure appropriate classification and accounting.
· Assist with the preparation of quarterly presentations for Executive Leadership, including obtaining and reviewing underlying support
· Assist in quarterly policy revisions and updates.
· Participate in other special projects or assist other groups within Global Controllership as needed.

Client Financial Management Role
· Monitor profitability and promoting margin improvements
· Assist with the creation and distribution of monthly and quarterly forecasting, planning and budgeting efforts reports
· Ensure US GAAP and internal compliance of time and expense policy and ensuring accurate processing and balancing of financial transactions
· Maintain a thorough understanding of Accenture's economic model to assist in data analysis, reporting inquiries, and accounting transactions

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications:
·  Pursuing a graduate or undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting OR other Business related degree with a minimum of 6 credit hours of Accounting, and a graduation date between December 2019 and May 2020
·  Overall GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0
Preferred Qualifications:
·  Demonstrated knowledge of business, finance, and accounting fundamentals
·  Understanding of US GAAP
·  PC literate (e.g. working knowledge of MS Office Programs)

Role Requirements:

·  Paid internships last 10-12 weeks and typically begin in late May/early June and end in early/mid August
