The Business Analyst/508 Tester will work with the Design Team, Product Owners, Scrum Masters and Developers to define and build features for the new application experience. As part of the team, you would:

· Interact with product owners to identify user stories with functional and system requirements Analyze system documentation to summarize system functionality as it relates to the project at hand Understand basic system technologies as they relate to the system functionality
· Communicate issues to appropriate parties and coordinate with external teams to mitigate potential issues/plan for impending deadlines
· Proactively communicate and collaborate with customers and other cross-functional teams to analyze information needs and functional requirements, and communicate requirements to development teams
· Demonstrate developed functionality and application features. The Business Analyst/508 Tester will also support efforts to test the solution for accessibility and usability compliance. Initially, primary responsibility of the position will be to identify developer guidelines to support Section 508 and prevent usability problems; create a process for identifying potential compliance issues and documenting issues in user stories for prioritization by the client for resolution; and pro-active testing for Section 508 compliance for functionality available to end-users. Section 508 testing will focus on sight impairment issues using the tools like Andi, Object Inspector 32, Web Accessibility Toolbar (WAT), Job Access with Speech (JAWS) or similar tool. The role will also act as a liaison and provide support for 508 testing performed by the client's Accessibility Office. Additionally, this role will support transition to WCAG accessibility specifications. Functional, Regression and Integration testing responsibilities will be added as the project progresses, but the role will continue to support 508 compliance as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities include:

508 Accessibility Testing:

· Become the testing 508 Accessibility SME in and perform the following:
· Web accessibility testing including: Semi-automated scans, manual reviews, keyboard only, color sampling, and screen reader testing (using JAWS or similar tool)
· Investigate/research issues, determine impact, and provide solutions for improving accessibility for compliance
· Implementing World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) WCAG specifications
· Reading, understanding, and being the go-to resource for compliance with Section 508 Laws and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
· Act as liaison with the client's Accessibility Office and support client Section 508 testing process
· Identifies, records, and helps manage specific 508 defects to resolution
· Provides policy and process support to the entire project team to develop, maintain, and improve our compliance with the federal government's Section 508 program Functional and Integration Testing:

· Identifies Functional, Regression and Integration test case scenarios from user stories and acceptance criteria.
· Develops and executes detailed manual or automated test scripts
· Identifies and/or creates test data to support script execution
· Assists with the development of overall test plan and other test artifacts.
· Identifies, records, and helps manage defects to resolution.
· Identifies and communicates any testing issues and/or risks to Developer and Test Lead.

Qualifications :

Basic Skills & Qualifications:

·  1 +year of professional experience
·  Bachelor's degree in a related field or 5 years of practical experience
·  US Citizen
·  1+ year of experience with Agile software development principles
·  1+ year of experience as a business, requirements, or system analyst
·  Must be able to become certified 508 trusted tester after joining
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
Additional Professional Skill Requirements:

·  2 + years of experience and practiced skills with 508 Compliance/Accessibility testing
·  2+ years of practiced skills with general software testing (Functional, Regression and Integration)
·  Leadership skills in documenting, presenting and liaising with different organizational groups and levels and/or clients, presenting and liaising with different organizational groups and levels and/or clients
·  Proven ability to work independently and as a team member
·  Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
·  Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
·  Ability to learn very quickly and share knowledge with other team members
·  Strong problem solving skills, ability to multi-task, organized, ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment, and very detail oriented
Additional Preferred Skill Requirements:

·  Knowledge of 508 accessibility testing techniques and remediation tools
·  Experience with 508 tools such as JAWS, PAW, WAT, Ferret, Narrator, or Common Look (or others)
·  Experience working with Federal Government projects
·  Experience with Agile delivery
·  Experience with automation test tools such as Selenium (Java)
An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
