We are looking for a highly effective Development Lead Consultant to join our team. This person will be required to offer solutions to problems of diverse scope and exercise judgment within defined practices and policies. This key member of our team contributes to the entire software development lifecycle including analysis, requirement specification, use case and data modeling, development, testing, and implementation.

Basic Qualifications

Required Skills:

- Ability and willingness to split time between management and hands-on software design, development, and review is a must
- Knowledge of multiple technology platforms/languages: Core Java, J2EE, Spring, JSP/Servlets, HTML, DHMTL, Javascript, Ajax, Oracle
- Strong leadership skills, including the ability to deliver constructive feedback and the ability to lead by example
- Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills
- Experience working with packaged solutions such as CQ, hybris and ATG is a plus

- 8+ years total software development experience
- 6+ years hands on Java software development experience
- 2+ years of previous experience as a lead developer or manager of a small team
- Prior experience managing and/or being managed by remote teams/offices

- Prior experience in a consulting environment is a plus
- Prior offshore software development management is a plus

- Formal project management experience is a plus

Preferred skills:

- Supports the full execution of the Deployment Process including the code build process and tools
- Monitors the responsibilities of all personnel required to ensure successful deployment of releases into the SDLC environments.
- Collaborates with internal resources to ensure effective releases
- Working with Developers to understand build/deploy processes.
- Participate in client facing meetings as required to discuss and enforce Release Management policy.
- Partner with Operations team for adherence to regularly scheduled maintenance windows
- Working with QA to support validation of each release
- Developing and refining software development and deployment processes
- Management of software configuration and change management systems.
- Establishing processes around unit test results in build promotion.
- Identify best practices and standards to be adopted for future projects.

Professional Skill Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Computer Information Systems
