WHAT YOU’LL DO

· 
Thorough working knowledge of the following equipment:  depalletizer, filler, seamer, sterilizer, labeler, casepacker, cartoner, and forklift. 

· 
Responsible for boil out of sterilizer equipment, filler wash and tank hook-ups.  

· 
Ability to troubleshoot on line situations, compliance to all GMP and Quality guidelines and performance of preventive maintenance. 

· 
Startup and shutdown of sterilizer equipment

· 
Maintain cooler water additives

· 
Maintain proper chlorine levels

· 
Ensure proper operating parameters of equipment

· 
Check sediment of sterilized product

· 
Double seam evaluation

· 
Set up equipment according to packing requirements and adjust as necessary during production.

· 
Load commodities into equipment  Maintain inventory counts of commodities used during each batch.

· 
Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work stations  Perform and document Quality checks and preventative maintenance

· 
Perform preventative maintenance check on filler valves and pistons.

· 
Ensure proper cleaning methods are used during a wash job.

· 
Cleaning area to include:  filler valves, filler pistons, filler screens, filler bowl, product filters, filler room floors and walls 

· 
Maintenance of product level in filler.

· 
Ensure proper operating parameters for filler, seamer and can washer.

· 
Perform preventative maintenance on filler and seamer.

· 
Ensure commodities are released prior to usage.

· 
Grease and oil seamer as needed.Perform visual can inspection.Fill weight checks Ensure proper FP tank hook-up to filling lines

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

Required

·  High School Diploma/GED
·  Prior job experience within plant will support 6 months OJT
·  Prior to this job 6 months experience as a Liquid Packaging Operator or Sterilizer Operator
·  OJT with Utility/Sterilizer Operator.  Review of all documentation and quality guidelines with supervisor
·  Verbal Instructions
