Our Corporate Treasury Team located in Lake Bluff, Illinois, currently has an opportunity for a

Treasury Supervisor – Global Treasury Operations

What You Will Do:

Responsible for daily cash management and cash forecasting.  Manage US Finance companies’ bank accounts, including maintaining end of day positive balances in all accounts, process daily FX wire transfers and daily management of short-term investments.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Assist Corporate Accounting, Corporate Credit and Corporate Disbursement Operations (CDO) with bank account reconciliation to ledger and resolution of any outstanding items.
  • Assist Corporate Disbursement Operations and US Abbott business with execution of time sensitive payments.
  • Prepare month end reports for domestic Commercial Paper and Investments. Issue quarterly and annual reporting for Treasurer’s report, Corporate Accounting and Tax Departments. 
  • Coordinate monthly netting (intercompany) entries for all Puerto Rico and domestic Finance Companies.
  • Manage proper set up of short term investment in SAP and Misys.
  • Manage and maintain US Bank fee database.  Consolidate, analyze and report quarterly bank fee analysis fees of Abbott’s partner banks.
  • Provide assistance to other internal functional areas (Tax, Legal, A/R and A/P) with Treasury related issues and complete ad hoc transactions as needed.
  • Provide support with Know Your Customer (KYC) Compliance, and EMIR reporting requirements.
  • Monitor compliance with policies and procedures relative to banking and cash management.

Education and Experience You Will Bring:

Required

  • Education - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or closely related field.
  • Experience Reporting – Accounting/Finance 6-8 years.
  • Position requires individual to quickly identify variances to benchmark data and seek an understanding of variances.  Individual must be able to lead activities and drive towards resolution even when unanticipated situations arise.  Must be mindful of due dates and anticipate deviations to them.

Preferred

  • The ability to work independently, lead processes, and demonstrate analytical/problem  solving skills is imperative.  This position requires excellent communication skills and must work well with other disciplines and cultures.  Strong experience with Excel, Essbase, HFM and/or SAP is required.
