JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position: Sales Representative: PRIMARY CARE
Reports t o: Regional Sales Manager
Division: Abbott Established Pharmaceutical Division
Location: Pretoria West + Country trips
Job responsibilities:
Design an appropriate strategy to achieve sales goals and targets in assigned territory;
Achievement of sales, market share and growth objectives in the region;
Maintain satisfactory customer call rate, strike rate, and territory coverage;
Compile and update sales operating plan for region;
Identify new business opportunities;
Arrange and run CME events;
Attend trade displays and presentations;
Attend cycle meetings and conferences;
Must complete country trip and day trips
Experience:
3 -5 years sales experience within the medical or pharmaceutical industry having dealt with specialists or hospitals is mandatory.
Knowledge of Private and Public Sector business advantageous
Experience in Cardiovascular/Diabetes,, Antibiotic and/or related pharmaceutical sales will be an advantage
Strong sales track record and sound organizational skills
History of superior territory coverage
Knowledge and relationships with key stakeholders in the region will be an advantage
Established KOL relationships and specialist relationships an advantage
Business planning acumen and ability.
Computer literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Compliance with company Code of Conduct.
The candidate should be an excellent communicator who’s behavior exhibits integrity, adaptability and independence.
Education :
Tertiary qualification in Human Sciences or Marketing/Sales
