WHAT YOU’LL DO

·  Demonstrates the Richmond Plant Philosophy (treat others the way you want to be treated, do your best, do what is right, improve through change and communication, etc.) and the Abbott Core Competencies
·  Adhere to all safety and GMP guidelines and assure crew/team does the same
·  Lead and direct the crew/team in the successful completion of the department goals
·  Provide leadership and direct work activities of product inspection
·  Provide leadership and oversee rework activities
·  Hold Cell Assistant certification in addition to Cell Lead responsibilities
·  Assist in any activities assigned by supervision
·  Support and assist in the completion of appropriate training
·  Complete operational knowledge of Abbott Overcap Production Line, including press 21,22, 23, assembly area, depalletizer and palletizer
·  Capability and willingness to transfer operational knowledge to Cell Assistant
·  Posses strong working knowledge of injection molding, automation, operations and troubleshooting skills
·  Perform quality visual checks and fill out documentation
·  Perform quality control testing and dimensional measurements to ensure the parts produced are meeting standards
·  Detailed understanding of batch documentation (batch sheets, material issue sheets, work orders)
·  Complete processing adjustments when needed to create consistent quality overcaps
·  Complete process verification documentation
·  Ensure process is operating in control range
·  Collect and pack pre-ship samples for each batch
·  Perform cycle counts on commodities
·  Complete shipping documentation and fill in for shipping duties as needed
·  Clear jams when necessary to keep line running
·  Complete assigned preventative maintenance tasks and responsibilities as assigned
·  Must be able to communicate detailed information verbally and electronically to appropriate support personnel
·  Responsible for communication of shift performance (i.e. shift reports, maintenance requests, engineering requests, etc.)
·  Ensure that all employees are following safety procedures and GMPs
·  Direct cell assistant and contractors on daily activities

You’ll also be accountable for providing excellent customer service to the production teams and meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

Required

·  High School diploma or equivalent.
·  Needs to have working knowledge and operational understanding of Lotus Notes, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.  Proficient in the use of AMAPS inventory control system.

Preferred

·  Previous experience in injection molding and forklift certification is a plus.
