JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking an experienced, high caliber Principle Financial Analyst. The person in this role will perform financial planning and analysis activities for assigned areas of focus for ACN (Abbott Cardiovascular and Neuromodulation) including Cash Flow, Cash Conversion Cycle (CCC) metrics, Balance Sheet and Capital. Responsibilities include:

  • Consolidation and reporting of these metrics for month-end requirements, LBE cycles and for any ad hoc analysis requested from Corporate or leadership. Also requires:
    • Intimate understanding of cash flow drivers and variances to Plan and LBEs
    • Collaboration with business colleagues in order to understand business dynamics, trends and underlying variance drivers
    • Ability to produce quality, concise and polished commentary for executive audiences
    • Presentation of rollups and analytics to leadership and the ability to speak knowledgably to balance sheet, capital and cash flow metrics, drivers and variances
  • Lead monthly meetings in support of divisional goals to improve Cash Flow Conversion metrics. Coordinate with global contacts to oversee the completion of appropriate presentation content.
  • Driving process changes to meet changing business requirements.
  • Participation in projects or tasks as assigned by manager.

Required experience(s), education and knowledge will further expand Abbott's marketplace success:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 7 years accounting and financial planning experience. CPA, CMA or MBA preferred. Experience within a global medical device company preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with determination for accuracy.
  • Experience generating ideas and proposals to improve financial processes as well as implementation of the new processes, effectively and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly, concisely and effectively communicate with all levels and functions of the organization.
  • Demonstrate ability of collaborating and partnering with business colleagues at various levels in a polished and tactful manner.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple assignments, achieving required deadlines without sacrificing quality in a fast-paced environment. Ability to anticipate and organize workload accordingly.
  • Document record of delivering information that adds value to management's decision-making process.
  • Operate independently and adaptable to changing requirements.
  • Proficient with financial modeling, systems, tools including Excel, Hyperion HFM and Essbase and SAP. Experience creating PowerPoint presentations.
  • Must be able to perform in a diverse cross-functional team environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of balance sheet transactions and their impacts on the cash flow and income statements.
