Status: Regular/Full Time

Position Overview:

As a member of Research and Development Design Transfer team, the candidate will contribute to the team's success by supporting multiple project teams, simultaneously. Main tasks will include, and not limited to, new product and process development, plastic component design using CAD tools, component manufacturing supplier interactions, tooling validations, product testing and product documentation.

The candidate will have to become familiar with all manufacturing processes, including both wafer fabrication and cartridge assembly. This knowledge will allow the candidate to effectively plan, coordinate and execute various engineering experiments and DOEs, from assembly, testing and data analysis.

Required Education and Experience:

Minimum 1-3 years relevant experience in an engineering role

Postgraduate degree in Engineering, Science or equivalent

Knowledge of 3D CAD modelling using Solidworks or equivalent software.

Proven technical, creative, teamwork and implementation skills to contribute to product and process development.

Knowledge and experience in equipment, process, and software validations/qualifications.

Strong written skills are required.

Experience creating technical specifications and standard operating procedures.

Knowledge of math and statistics, good computer skills, including knowledge of SAS JMP/Minitab.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Ability to work both independently and within small and large teams.

Judgment and decision-making skills, organization, coordinating and planning skills, ability to work in a multi-task environment, good oral and written communication and the ability to work under pressure, propensity to continuous learning.

Familiarity with any of the following areas would be an asset:

Design Control.

Design of Experiments.

Injection molding.

Experimental design and statistical process control.

ISO/FDA regulations.

Risk management/FMEA methods.

This is a Monday to Friday position.
