Status: Full-Time/Permanent (Day shift 4 days on 4 days off from 6:30am to 6:30pm, will move to M-F pending Covid restrictions.

Job Description: 

An opportunity to work as a part of the Supply Chain Team with a focus on shipping, inventory control, labelling requirements, packaging and expediting as required. In this role the candidate will work within the Supply Chain team to support the distribution of requirements of shipping products from Ottawa to various North American and International destinations. This position is focused on prioritizing inventory, inventory control, shipping, packaging, completing export commercial documentation and international labelling.  This position will focus on all aspects of distribution.

Responsibilities:

Packing & Shipping of Finish goods to various North American and International destinations.

Affixing additional labels on the product boxes for specific countries

Load products on to truck 2-3 time a week and follow complete procedure to ensure no gaps in packing slip and actual loads

Complete export documentation related to each shipment.

Completing commercial invoices, packing slips, bills of lading and check sheets.

International country specific product

Responsible for Air and Truck methods of shipments

Support miscellaneous shipment requests for inventory items and non-inventory requests.

Maintain adequate inventory level of shipment supplies such as, but not limited to, cardboard skids, shipper boxes, FedEx supplies, additional country specific labels, etc

Prepare daily reports such as, inventory labelling record, Daily output, etc.

Other task and duties may be assigned

Required Education and Experience:

Ability to multitask with shifting priorities/ problem solving skills: experience with statistics.

Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels in the organization

Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills; critical thinking skills;

Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary team members, and work independently;

Ability to apply mathematical skills.

Effective at dealing with a variety of people and understanding/communicating their requirements.

Self-directed, proactive and not easily discouraged.

Excellent organizational, planning and scheduling skills.

Good oral/written communication skills.

At least 1 – 3 years’ experience in distribution or logistics is preferred.

Experience working in an ISO and FDA regulated environment is an asset.

Experience in handling large volume exports in a regulated environment

Intermediate Knowledge of Microsoft tools like excel

Ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize workload

Working knowledge of inventory management system, SAP,QAD knowledge will be an asset.

High School Diploma
