JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a Digital Strategist, you will play a key role in working with the different marketing teams in Abbott's Cardiac Arrhythmias & Heart Failure division to turn their marketing strategies into executable digital strategies. Specifically, you will be responsible for effective upfront strategic planning to inform optimization of existing channels, defining content and channel strategy, and helping articulate digital marketing strategies. These strategies will be focused on our digital channels, such as our owned websites, social media, email, paid search, display, etc. You'll partner with channel managers, analytics managers and a content strategy manager to translate these strategies into specific tactics and content.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with internal business partners. This role is the face of the Digital team to our partners and primary contact for all digital efforts.
  • Collaborate with analytics team and business partners to translate business goals into digital KPIs.
  • Create digital strategy based on the overarching marketing strategy, and work with content team to develop specific content and tactics to execute the digital strategy.
  • Manage the project workflow, providing information in the shared platforms (Robohead, JIRA, Trello, etc.), coordinating activities among stakeholders and tracking completion of tasks to full execution of each project.
  • Utilize agile workflow in ongoing work assignments.
  • Use analytics and best practices to incorporate SEO, conversion goals, and optimized user experience into digital content and tactics across all digital channels.
  • Participate in tactical execution of projects (e.g. content development, publishing and channel optimizations).
  • Suggest and establish process changes to improve overall workflow/publishing efficiency.
  • Adhere to Digital Marketing policies including Web Content Review and Approval, Removal, and Governance policies.
  • Comply with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.
  • Maintain positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or equivalent. Master's in similar degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in a digital domain – with strong interactive marketing experience.
  • 5+ years creating and executing digital strategies for web, paid, social, and/or mobile channels.
  • 3+ years of experience working with content management systems (Adobe Experience Manager and Sitecore preferred) and experience working with technical team members (i.e. business analysts and developers) to execute web projects.
  • 3+ years of experience executing analytics projects or working in close collaboration with an analytics team (knowledge of Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and Tableau preferred).
  • Requires deep practical knowledge of these tools, concepts and methodologies within a regulated industry, preferably Medical Device or related healthcare sector.
  • Ability to convert and implement strategic plans into tactical ones.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills; captivating presenter and great listener.
  • High comfort level leading brainstorms and ideation and filling up whiteboards. Combination of right and left-brain thinking that challenges the status quo.
  • Strong working knowledge of HTML, SEO principles, and web page layout.
  • Experience with agile a plus.
