Job description
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Primary Functions:
- Develops and implements company and regulatory quality standards
- Knowledge of industry and governmental regulations affecting product quality
- Develops, implements, revises and maintains quality standards, tool and methods of processing materials into finished products
- Designs or specific inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment
- Analyzes production limitations and standards
- Recommended revision of specifications when indicated
- Formulates of assists in formulating quality control policies and procedures
- Drives quality improvement and cost reduction using Six Sigma or Lean Methodology
- Responsible for the implementation, maintenance and improvement of the laboratory quality management system and to identify the occurrence of departure from the quality management system and initiate actions to prevent or minimize such departures
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Food Science, Food Technology, Dairy Science or related discipline or Diploma with minimum 1 to 3 years of experience
- Minimum 2-5 years experience of experience in chemistry/analytical laboratory testing or relevant areas
- Competent in advance laboratory instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, ICP, FTIR, NIR etc
- Good leadership, communication, problem solving, laboratory investigation and report writing skills
