JOB DESCRIPTION:

Abbott Established Pharmaceuticals Division (EPD) has established an Analytics Center of Excellence which will be responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of an Enterprise Analytics solution servicing over 20 countries across EPD functional areas. We are looking for a Functional Data Analyst to join the new team in Warsaw

Core job responsibilities:

• Support the Enterprise Analytics solution by ensuring data is clean, correctly mapped and processed
• Support EPD functions in the definition and implementation of information needs to enable business strategies
• Develop technology initiatives to deliver analytics’ expected benefits and capabilities from data perspective
• Cooperate with business users and with vendors to understand business needs and translate to technical specification that include: data definitions, data model, data flows and transformations/logic required
• Identify and obtain data from various data sources, interpret and transform into expected format
• Continues analysis, examination and evaluate existing systems and data
• Continues improve user experience and suggest adjustments in business processes
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date project and solution documentation
• Normalize existing data sets and create rich dimension tables
• Implement ETL best practices such as version control and unit testing
• Create data dictionaries and business glossaries
• Identify and reconcile inconsistencies in data definitions
• Work to identify master data (entities and attributes) and capture how data is interpreted by users in various parts of the organization.
• Implement business and technology initiatives to fulfill data needs
• Maintain network with business users (Data Stewards) by providing trainings and updates from data tools

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration or similar
• 3 years of experience in working as DWH/BI senior analyst or similar in medium to large industries
• Minimum of two full cycles of global analytics initiatives
• Extensive experience in SQL and one of the following databases: Oracle, MSSQL, DB2, PostgreSQL
• Experience in working in AWS environment (S3, Athena, Glue, Redshift)
• Experience with ETL and DWH/ BI projects
• Fluent in English (written and verbal)
• Knowledge and experience with Informatica technology (Informatica IDQ, MDM, PowerCenter, IICS)
• Knowledge and experience with BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik etc.)
• Well organized way of working, efficiency in solving complex issues
• Experience in pharmaceutical industry would be an asset
