Mechanical Engineer - Internship

Job description

Corporate Research Center located in Krakow is one of seven ABB research units in the world. Here we create innovative solutions for our products and systems. It is a unique opportunity for you to work on international projects in interdisciplinary scientific teams. To our team we are looking for students of technical universities.

Tasks:

- Design position for testing embedded devices (3d design of mechanical construction, design of electrical schematic and wiring);
- Preparation of bill of materials and searching for suppliers;
- Assembly test position and commissioning;
- Preparation of technical documentation.

Requirements:

Ideally, you have:
- Student of 3rd or 4th year of Automatics and Robotics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar;
- 3D modelling skills, knowledge of CAD software e.g. SolidWorks, CATIA v5, Creo;
- Ability to work with equipment for electrical measurements;
- Basic knowledge of electrical engineering;
- Knowledge of English language allowing for preparation of documentation;
- Strong communication skills;
- Flexible and self-learning;
- Good work organization;
- Good analytical skills;
- Availability 20h/week.

Nice to have:
- Knowledge of Python;
- Knowledge of UNIX/Linux systems.
